The first quarter of 2024 saw diverse performance metrics for the top 5 travel and local apps in Ecuador on a unified platform. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides detailed insights into these trends.

Airbnb experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 20.3K in the first week of January and peaking at 23.5K in the second week. However, downloads saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, settling at around 11K in the final week of March. Weekly active users for the app showed a similar trend, starting strong at 165.5K, dipping mid-quarter, and closing at 142.4K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel also showed varied download numbers, beginning at 8.5K, peaking at 8.9K in mid-March, and ending the quarter at 5.1K. The app's weekly active users started at 90.2K, saw a minor drop mid-quarter, but regained momentum to close at 84.3K in the last week of March.

Despegar: vuelos y hoteles had a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 3.9K and reaching a peak of 5.7K in mid-March. Active users also increased steadily, from 26.9K at the beginning of January to 34.1K by the end of March.
